Puppies from 8 -12 weeks at the start of the course
Puppies learn and develop very quickly – and need guidance to learn the right thing. Once you bring your pup home you become their new role model, but who guides you when this wriggling, wagging, messy, loving, cheeky, damp little creature moves into your life?
Boredom Busters Dog & Puppy Services has created a 5 session puppy training course ready for you and your new puppy. The course is based on real families with real puppies, the answers and solutions for common problems, and training we’ve been asked to provide over the past four years.
We have been working with puppies and their owners since 2008, fostering two litters of homeless puppies for rescue, and are now looking after adults we helped raise as puppies through our dog walking and home boarding services. One of our ‘homeless’ puppies now lives next door to our trainer, Linda, and another with a friend of the family. Unlike most trainers, we will be able to show you the results of the training we gave these puppies and their owners – some of our first puppies are approaching four years old – just accompany us on any of our walks. You will see it is possible for you to have a well behaved, well-adjusted adult dog, if you are willing to invest in your puppy’s future at an early stage.
As all training is on an individual tuition basis, we can start as soon as you bring your puppy home; The course is designed to start between 8 and 12 weeks, and works best with Sessions 1 & 2 at home a week apart (or less) to set puppy up with the skills they need. Sessions 3 & 4 move out to work in the 'real world' as soon as pup is cleared by the vet to go out. We are able to be very flexible based on your needs, puppy’s age and the timing of vaccinations, so don’t worry if your pup is older or there is a longer wait for Session 3.
The course covers house training, chewing, barking, mouthing & puppy biting, jumping up, not pulling on the lead, coming back when called, diet, living with children and much more. Please contact us for an information pack.
If you choose, you could book Session 1 before your puppy comes home, so you can get things right from day one. This is a service you won’t find anywhere else and my puppy services are very popular, so if you are waiting for a puppy to be old enough to bring home, or looking for a puppy, please do get in touch as early as you can.
