Dogs require physical and mental stimulation and many behaviour problems such as barking, chewing, digging etc are the result of isolation, boredom and insufficient exercise. It is proven that exercise and mental stimulation could be the cure for some of these problems.
Our dog walking service is designed for those owners who may be at work all day, are unexpectedly called away from home, are elderly, disabled or hospitalised or have other commitments.
No Pack Walking!
To avoid dog aggression, our dog walking service is on a 1-2-1 basis. We do not pack walk to increase our revenue. This ensures that your dog receives our individual attention. Our walks can be tailored to meet your dog's requirements. Your dog will only be taken off the lead with your permission.
We do not use Vans
Your dogs are probably not used to travelling in a cage in the back of a noisy van as is the method of tranportation used by most pet-care companies/dog walkers who have little regard to the stress and anxiety that is caused to the animals caged in the back of a windowless van. This is done to maximise the number of dogs transported by the dog walker at one time and ultimately their revenue. This arrangement is only of benefit to the walker and definitely not your pet who gains nothing from this negative experience. At St Albans Pet Services your pet's welfare and happiness is our number one priority and we will never use caged vans to transport your pets just because it is more cost effective.

Our Service
* We will come to you and collect your dog(s), at an agreed time, so that you don't have to be there when they are taken out for a walk. We walk in their local neighbourhood or park so that their surroundings stay familiar.
* We can transport your dogs to local countryside, if requested, allowing for more fun and exercise.
* Dogs will be walked on a lead initially but can be walked off
lead with your permission.
* All dogs are walked on a 1-2-1 basis unless you specifically request a group walk for socialisation.
* If there is more than one dog in the household and provided they can safely be walked together,
there is a small charge per additional dog, per walk.
* After the walk we will deliver your dog home, making sure it is dry and has plenty of fresh food and
water.
We normally walk for an hour but also offer 30 or 45 minute walks, if preferred.
Our dog walkers are police or CRB checked and fully insured for dog walking and key-holding.
