My name is Becky Hains. Dip.Dog.Psy.

I am a fully qualified canine behavioural psychologist.
I teach people how to remove unwanted behaviour in their dogs and show owners how to keep this behaviour by remaining consistent in the methods i teach. My help comes in the form of helping dogs in homes that have behaviour problems that have lead to their owners being on their last hope of change before the dog is re-homed, or put to sleep. So i see myself as a life line to some of these dogs. I also foster, re-home, and rehabilitate rescue dogs to give them a better chance of a loving forever home. I also do a lot of charity work for dogs, and other animals.I will help anyone i can, all you have to do is ask. Any problem behaviours are dealt with in a non violent or aggressive manner, and i always get results when the owners become committed to be consistent. I have been told it is lovely to see such a turn around in behaviour of the dogs i help from rescues and everyone who has the dogs i help say they are a calm, respectful, and a very loving part of their family :)..........I LOVE MY JOB :)

My over all aim is to make people understand that any dog can be aggressive or dominant if not given the correct method of behavioural training and this is why the people that didn’t seek behavioural help are those who created the violent name for the loving Staffie's and Pitbulls I know of.

In training you to become calm and assertive but still loving at the right times, i leave you with the knowledge to maintain a balanced and happy dog with no more unwanted behaviours and less stress for you.

Dogs have pack based thinking and need to feel at the higher or lower end of the pack’s status. The alpha female and male are the calm assertive leaders of the pack who practice rules boundaries and limitations right form the word go, so even puppies learn to be calm and submissive. When a dog lives with a human pack, they still need these methods to feel stable. We automatically assume that if our dog is displaying anxious, fearful or dominant behaviour that we are to treat the dog as we would as child, and we give affection, or try to give dogs a time out. By doing so with the anxious, fearful, or dominant behaviour, affection will only reinforce these behaviours and empower the dog, so your dog feels that you want them to be the pack leader in your house. This in turn can lead to food dominance, as pack leaders defend their food as they eat first, and are not disciplined if they take food. It can also lead to separation anxiety as the pack is supposed to follow the alpha leader, so when left home alone destructive behaviour can also be a forgone conclusion.

So remember there is nothing wrong with loving your dog and giving lots of affection. What matters is that you know the right times to give affection, as in canine communication a dog will only ignore or eliminate any negative energy or weak energy. The reason for this is because dogs have such a strong genetic pack sense, it only makes sense to rid weak energy for stronger pack survival. But always stay calm while projecting your authority as dogs understand body language better as they have learned it through pack socialisation throughout their lives. Whether it be in a pack with humans or a complete dog pack.

I also do grooming, walking and give nutritional advice.

I can give all advice types on phone, or by writing you a message to help.

All small questions can be answered for free on the pack life wall on face book
